Low bone marrow cellularity and chrons

My son has been diagnosed with low bone marrow cellularity (30% to 35%) his iron stores have also been none to low and he saw a gi doctor yesterday for this issue. They are thinking possibly chrons disease not related to low cellularity. He had a ct done several months ago which showed thickening of the duodenum and he will have a upper and low scope with biopsies done to confirm diagnosis. Anyone experience chrons with low cellularity?
