Questions

I am not currently diagnosed with a specific disorder or disease at this time, but I am scheduled to see a hematologist oncologist in three weeks. My Primary Dr. Is concerned with my most recent CBC. He suggested a bone marrow issue, and the background of my Dr. Is he is VERY conservative, I am a bit of a hypochondriac and this is the first time he actually said, he was concerned. The the things he is concerned about i listed below:
WBC 4.7
RBC 4.19
Platelets - 133clumped
Lymphocytes # .90
Lymphocyte % 8.6

6 months ago all levels were within normal limits, low, but normal.
Do these numbers seem like something to worry about? My doctor had me re-do the bloodwork today in case it was a "fluke", along with a B12 test.
I actually feel very good, and work out 5 days a week, work full time, and have three kids. I feel good, can something be wrong when you actually feel good?
Thanks you for responding, I need to put my mind at ease.

Lisa143,

Your platelets from this test are lower than the normal range so it's only reasonable to repeat the tests to confirm your blood counts. You should probably know your HGB (hemoglobin) level too.

Your RBC is normal for a woman and your WBC is OK too. There's no need to assume the worst, just to be practical and find out if the test results are right or wrong. Blood counts have an unfortunate habit of varying from one test to another, so it can take 2 or more tests to confirm a pattern.
