Cellulitis
Hi,
Haven't been here in a while. I was in the big storm in the Northeast and without power for over a week and no internet for two. My mom has just been diagnosed with cellulitis. Is this something that is very dangerous for her? Thanks, Yaka |

Hi, I had cellulitis of my left ankle which progressed and infected the Achilles tendon. My haematologist treated it as a very serious problem. I was admitted to hospital for a week of IV antibiotic followed by a month or so of IV antibiotics in a pump at home with daily visits to daycare for even more antibiotics, this was followed up by 6 weeks of oral antibiotics.
Hope this helps. Regards Chirley

They put my mom on oral Keflex. My mom says it the rash is looking better and she was thinking of not going back today for the doctor to check on it. I expressed my displeasure of this and told her how serious this could become. I hope that the doctor says it is starting to clear up.
Every day is a new adventure with this disease. Yaka |
