Alvin,

That is your first post.
Are you a grower? User? How do you get it across the border.
That being said, I see you can buy it from Amazon.

While I didn't find anything about treating MDS with cannabidiol, there do seem to be some promising studies on it's use to treat other ailments (one link below from the Mayo Clinic):

http://www.mayoclinic.org/drugs-supp...1&DSECTION=all

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cannabidiol

Unlike THC, it appears from the links above that Canabidiol is not an intoxicating component of marijuana.

More pertinent to our forum, here's an ongoing study out of Israel with promising results treating post-transplant GvHD with cannabidiol:

http://www.mor-research.com/project/...tment-of-gvhd/

Considering 'getting it across the border', it looks like Alvin is up in BC, Canada, so his border is with Washington state, where marijuana is now legal even for recreational use. I understand in BC marijuana use is essentially decriminalized. So it probably can be obtained pretty easily on either side of that particular border.

I haven't heard of it's use in MDS. I guess scientists go on either side of it actually helps with other cancers, or it is a placebo effect that relaxes you and the relaxing helps. I'm sure a lot of natural products help with things. We were told not to feed my son garlic or give him vitamin C while he's on cyclosporine because cyclosporine is an immune suppressant and garlic & vitamin C boosts your immunity (we were giving him vitamin C to help heal his bruises from having 6k platelets prior to ATG. It actually did help. He healed up a whole lot faster). I've also read studies where vitamin C and zinc supplementation affect cyclosporine absorption (you absorb less of it). You're not supposed to take grapefruit juice with cyclosporine either, just like with many other pharmaceuticals. So perhaps cannabidiol helps, or doesn't help, but until a study is done I suppose no one will know.

There's some guy in Canada that claims to have cured people with hash oil which is the concentrated extract of the plant. Many people read about it so its not uncommon to see a poster on here asking about it. Just yesterday there was an article about real estate in Colorado and the number of people wanting to live in communities that sell the stuff for medical reasons. As far as research goes its hard because its illegal so not easy to obtain. From what I read the research being done is its use as anti-nausea. I don't see anyone doing a study on its ability to cure diseases.

We were told in research hospitals it was being used and for transplant (I'm sure other treatment as well) it helped w pain, loss of appetite and mood [go figure] if my husband wanted he could request it. He never did though. I feel like we're old souls but still pretty conservative for our age
