Chromosome abnormalities

At what point should a person expect the disappearance of any chromosome abnormalities? I am at Day 28 and all my numbers are close to textbook perfect except there are still indications of the presence of the previous abnormalities. My reasoning would be that these will be present until my blood is 100 percent donor. Any thoughts?

I had IDH2 gene mutation. It showed up on 7 out of 7 pre transplant tests. At day 28 I averaged around 80% donor blood. The IDH2 mutation was no longer present. Every situation is different.

I am at day 72. ANC 2.8, WBC 4.0, RBC 3.94, HCT 36.1, HGB 11.8, PLT 91. The ANC is doing good, platelets and HGB lagging behind. I was told this is not an unusual recovery pattern. I am getting day 80 tests a week early. If all goes well I may go home at end of Sept. From day 24 everything improved at a slow non linear pace. I am up to walking 2 miles or doing 45 min. on treadmill. Very minor skin rash, various opinions as to what it is.

Smile How are you doing?

Hi Bailie! I was just wondering how things are going for you now, this many days after transplant. I don't recall seeing a recent update from you, and I'm sure I'm not the only one hoping you are still doing splendidly!

Thank you for asking. This is an interesting time for me. I am waiting for the results of my 30 day BMB. All of my blood numbers are right on target and I am 100 percent donor. The big question mark at this time is whether the three chromosomal abnormalities have been addressed. So far, no GVHD at Day 43. I am feeling fine, but still a little weak.
