Hi Marlene,
Very interesting report. It is obvious that we get too high doses of many drugs - Vidaza for example was given in much higher doses many years ago for AML but the patients couldn't stand that dose so they stopped giving the drug to AML patients. Thalidomide was given in high doses - up to 800 mg/day - for MDS but the patients dropped out of the studies due to adverse effects. Now 50 mg/day is standard and I take 29 mg/day (4 caps á 50 mg/day) with good effect. Kind regards Birgitta-A |

I think that is true for many drugs. For many, the standard dose is too high and many would do just as well or even better on a lower dose.
