How fast do levels rise after ATG?
I was just wondering if anyone that has AA and had the ATG treatment could tell me what to expect the first month after treatment. I finished treatment Sept 15. I havent needed red blood in a month but my hemo was only 8.7 today. The white blood cells are going up and my platelets have been at 25 for over two weeks.
Any help would be great. Thanks |

Hi Dan.
This forum thread has a discussion of post-ATG experiences. As you'll see, response times vary but 3 to 6 months is the typical timeframe. I'm glad you're doing OK and I hope you start seeing a rise in platelets soon. |

Hi Dan
You may be posting on other thread Neil pointed out but checking here too.
How are you feeling? How low were your plts pre-treatment? I hope they are beginning to improve! Handling cyclopsorine alright? No fun I hear, at least for some. But well worth the side effects. If no upswing yet, they say patience is key. I have AA too so over here more also. Happy New Year to all you family, say hi for me. Susan T from other PNH grp.
