Milwaukee Hope, Steps & A Cure Walk, May 31, 2014

The 3rd Annual Milwaukee Hope, Steps & A Cure Walk, a fundraising and awareness event to benefit the AA&MDSIF, will take place on Saturday, May 31, 2014 on the campus of Concordia University Wisconsin in Mequon, just north of Milwaukee. It will be a day of fun connecting with fellow patients and families.

Festivities will include team photos, inspirational speakers, a silent auction, and a day of fun connecting with fellow patients and families affected by a bone marrow failure disease to raise awareness and funds.

The walk is being organized by aplastic anemia patient and survivor Brandi Wright. in collaboration with Concordia University Wisconsin and Alverno College.

Saturday May 31, 2014
Schedule:
9:00am: Registration in the Environmental Center
9:00am - 10:00am: Photos
10:15am: Walk begins
11:00am: Light refreshments
11:30am - Noon: Silent Auction
1:00pm: estimated end of event

Walk Information

There will be a 5K route for the walk (with a shorter walk option available) which will proceed around the beautiful campus of Concordia University Wisconsin with a beautiful view of the Lake Michigan lakefront.

The registration fee is $30 per person. Each walker and virtual walker is encouraged to set a personal fundraising goal and invite friends and family members to sponsor you online.


How to Sign Up
1. If you can attend
Go to the Walk Registration page, click the WALK Registration link, and fill out the form.
2. Virtual walkers
If you can't attend you can register as a "virtual walker". Go to the Walk Registration page, click the VIRTUAL WALK Registration link, and fill out the form.

If you plan to attend the Walk, post in this thread to let other attendees know to look for you!
