Smile newbie

Hi Im Robert 61 yr. retired electrician.
I was dx aug,12,08 with severe AA.
HG 69, P4 , WBC2.7 Iwas treated at VGH ,BC,Canada on Aug,26,08 with ATG. SoI have been on cyclosporn for just over 6 months. I had last red blood tx Oct.17,08 and last platlets on Nov. 19,08.
I have partially recovery.My blood counts seem to be stable @ HG95-100 ,P30-40,000, WBC2.7-4,nutropils1.6-3.5
I am feeling good but I tire out from any phiscal exercition.

Hi Robert, and welcome.

Congratulations on being transfusion-free these last few months. I'm sure you'd prefer to have normal counts and more energy, but you're certainly better off than you were when you were diagnosed last year. Platelets of 4000? That's just frightening.

Do your doctors at Vancouver General Hospital plan any change in your treatment, or are they satisfied with how things are going?

Platlets

My dr.s at VGH say they will not transfuse platlets above 20,000. My platlets were at 4 the day my DR sent me for a cbc test. I had brusing and pichicti rash on my legs.I'm sorry I misunder stood what You said when I first replied. I am not very good at typing.
