Medical alert jewelry

I was wondering if any of you that have AA, PNH, or MDS wear a medic alert bracelet or necklace. I have had mine on for a year and my Hematologist was surprised that she never thought of it. I have my Dx, meds, allergies, and blood type on it and it goes every where I go.

I got one for my husband when he was first diagnosed. They were very helpful and worked with me in deciding what I wanted it to say. We finally settled on "Aplastic Anemia, low platelets, immune-suppressed".

He wore it for a while, but I guess he got tired of it, LOL. His counts are much better now than they were then, so he doesn't really need it anymore, but I was worried about what might happen if he got into a car accident or something when his platelets were really low.

I let my neighborhood fire station know of my condition when my counts were seriously low and they put me in the computer to only be taken to the University hospital in case of emergency, who my hematologist was, and the specifics of my condition.
