Aranesp
Hi Every One,
Had my first injection on Friday. Had a blood draw, today (Wednesday). My blood dropped to 7.6 it was 8.5,3 weeks ago. Is this normal for the cells to drop before they go up?Any information will help. Still trying to get this thread started figured out. Thanks ccartbmw |

It can take up to 12 weeks before you see an increase refected in your basic CBC. If you are transfusion dependent, you may start to see the interval between transfusion get longer.
Hopefully your doc did a baseline reticulocyte count. Both a percentage and an absolute count. These are the new red cells and they should increase with the injections. If not, then I would question continuing with it. Marlene
