Los Angeles 2022 March for Marrow 5K Run & Walk, April 30, 2022
The 13th annual Los Angeles March for Marrow 5K Run & Walk, a fundraising and awareness event to benefit the Aplastic Anemia and MDS International Foundation (AAMDSIF), will take place on Saturday, April 30, 2022 at Shoreline Village in Long Beach, CA, with the Queen Mary and the beautiful marina in full view. It will be a day of fun connecting with fellow patients and families. The event will include:
Marrowforums members are invited to support the AA&MDSIF by donating to Team Marrowforums. Just click the DONATE button. Please help spread the word about this annual fundraiser. You are welcome to register and attend March for Marrow as well. 100% of all donations through Team Marrowforums go directly to the AAMDSIF. Information We will walk or run along the scenic marina in Shoreline Village. Walkers can choose either the 1-mile or 2-mile route. Onsite registration begins at 7:00am for the 5K Run and 8:15am for the Walk. The 5K Run starts at 8:00am. The program will begin at 9:00am and the Walk will begin at 9:45am. The Walk registration fee is $30 for adults. 5K Run registration is $30 for adults. Students age 14 to 21 can register for $20 for each event. Youths age 6 to 13 can register for $15 for each event. Children 5 and under are free. Teams of 5 or more can register for the 5K Run for discounted prices. 2022 Champion
This year's March for Marrow Los Angeles Champion is Joan Durnell-Powell, an MDS patient, volunteer Patient Advocate, member of the AAMDS Patient Education Council, and AAMDS Support Group Facilitator for the western U.S.

The Thirteenth Annual March for Marrow 5K Run and Walk was a success. It was great to be back in the sunshine instead of having only a virtual event. Team Marrowforums raised $4,361 while the overall event raised over $72,000 for the Aplastic Anemia and MDS International Foundation (AAMDSIF).
