Normal CBC and MDS?
Hi all
A friend of mine has symptoms very similar to mine when I was diagnosed in 2011. He has already had a range of tests including a CBC but with results in normal range (mine weren't). This may seem like a very weird question but is there any chance that he could have a form of MDS and still have normal blood counts? Any advice would be appreciated! Thanks.

Dx MDS RAEB 10% blasts + hypogammaglobulinemia, Sep 2011. Jan 2012 BMB - blasts down to 2% w/out treatment so BMT cancelled. Re-diagnosis RCMD. Watch and wait from Feb 2012. IVIg 5-weekly. New diagnosis Oct 2019 AML 23% blasts in marrow, 10% blasts in peripheral blood.

MDS
