who has RARS and high ferritine without transfusion?

hello,

My friend has RARS-T and has no transfusion. but his ferritine level is also high (1000). Does anyone that have? thanks for help and sorry for the worse engels. good evening

Ferritin

Hi gramous,
It is common that MDS patients have high ferritin values without txs eventually due to hemolysis (the red blood cells burst much too early). A ferritin value of 1000 is not considered dangerous for the liver, heart and other organs.
