Magic Bob

Hi all,

Just wanted to let you know that my dad passed away yesterday, October 13th (my sister's birthday). This past week has been a real struggle. He passed away surrounded by all his family, which was a blessing. He fought a long hard battle and was a brave soldier throughout. He is finally at peace and looked very peaceful in the end.

Thank you for all the comfort you brought to him. He spent countless hours reading everyone's posts. He felt like he find some real friends in all of you as you could understand exactly what he was going through.

Thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Love from Magic Bob's family

Love from Magic Bob's family

Dear MagicBob's family,

This is so sad to hear. Your dad was so very special to my husband and I. He helped my husband, Dean, not feel so alone and scared. Dean was too weak to get on the computer in his final weeks, but he constantly ask me if I heard from MagicBob and wanted to know how he was doing.

Your dad said that both he and Dean were going to have a wonderful 77th birthday celebration, their birthdays were one day apart. They will now have a special party in heaven together!

Sending you, your mom, and your family my love, hugs, faith, hope and prayers,

Patti Darby

Thank you to Magic Bob's family for letting us know what happened. My sympathies for your loss of such a nice man. He must have been very well loved by all of you.

Magic Bob was a great guy, as everybody here already knows. He cared about the rest of us and we cared about him.

I wish the last 2 years had been easier for him, but he always kept his and our spirits up. Thank you for being our friend, Magic Bob.

I echo Cheryl C.'s words - it has been an especially difficult time for our forum members these past few weeks. We've lost a lot of good people who have been instrumental in making this forum a great source of information, inspiring stories of courage, and, yes, even hope.
May they all rest in peace and know that we are all better people because we "knew" them.
Deepest sympathies to Magic Bob's family as you focus on the days ahead and I know he left y'all with wonderful memories. God bless,
