Dacogen (decitibine) Questions??

Hi all,

I have 2 questions:

1. The clinic where I get Dacogen in Cincinnati, OH, has recently had difficulty in obtaining the drug. It seems like it is on back-order from the manufacturer. Has anyone else noticed or heard of a shortage of Dacogen availability within the past month?? We have been able to get a limited supply from other local hospitals and clinics but it seems like the availability is somewhat limited.

2. For low dose use of Dacogen has anyone had experience with sub-cutaneous injections of Dacogen rather than the normal infusions into a vein?
Vidaza is often given in a sub-q fashion. For low doses a Sub-q would be faster at the clinic.

I'd appreciate any observations.

Thanks,
