What does diluted Bone marrow with a few blast cell mean?
Hi
My bone marrow aspiration results came with the diluted Bone marrow and I googled a lot cant find anything understand able for me. I thank in advance. |

I may be wrong, but I think the "diluted" part means that the sample they took has too much (peripheral) blood mixed in, and as a result they can't run the needed tests. Getting a good bone marrow sample isn't easy, from what I've been able to gather. Best wishes for good news when you are able to get accurate results. Barbara.

That is my understanding as well. Diluted just means that there is peripheral blood in the sample, which may affect the results slightly.
