Port Question

For those who have used a port, did you leave it accessed overnight? I want to try leaving it in overnight when I am doing a 10 day tratment cycle. However, I am uncomfortable with the tubing that hangs down. I fear I may pull it while I am sleeping. Any effective tricks people found to secure the tubing while sleeping? So far my solution has bern to sleep sitting up, but I would prefer my own bed.

I leave mine accessed for a week at a time. I’ve never accidentally dislodged the needle by pulling on the tubing. You could always try taping the tubing more securely so it’s not left dangling. There really is no need to sit up or worry about it. Even if you did dislodge the needle it’s not a big concern. It can’t cause much damage and it’s easily replaceable.

Good luck.
