LLS Canada ( Gtr. Toronto) Presents Meet the Doctor [Update: event postponed]

Myelodysplastic Syndrome (MDS)
Dr. Rena Buckstein, MD, FRCP(c)


Dr. Rena Buckstein will review the definition of MDS, incidence, prevalence, causes, classifications, prognosis, symptoms. She will discuss the available treatments for MDS and for whom they are not recommended. Finally, she will outline the importance for iron chelation in transfusion dependent patients and summarize the key areas of ongoing research.

Leukemia & Lymphomia Society of Canada- Meet the Doctor November 18,2008

The MDS Presentation set for November 18, 2008 in Toronto has been postponed until the New Year.
