end stage?

I am wondering if any of you have gone thru end stage with a parent? I am trying to figure out what is going on with my dad. He seems really agitated lately for no apparent reason. I know a terminal illness like this is hard emotionally but up until....oh I would say the last couple of weeks he has been doing really well on the emotional front. while his numbers are alot more stable than a couple of months ago I am seeing changes in his appearance as well. He seems more tired or more of just not feeling well. Is this what the end is like?

Bepop,

I'm sorry you and your Dad are going through tough times.

Can I suggest you read the thread, under Bone Marrow Failure heading called "Dad has hypo-cellular acute bone marrow leukamia" by Manny the dog. It is a very touching and honest account of one families (as told by Scott son of Bob) journey with this disease and the healing process following Bobs' death.

Regards

Chirley

The thread by mannythedog is here.

You posted in the Vidaza Reaction thread by forum member annm1103, so you probably remember her experience with her father. Your dad's situation could be quite different, but his agitation reminded me of Ann's thread.

it seems the transfusions and platelet transfusions have stopped working. Dad told us the other day he feels his body has changed. He is having issues with his legs now too. I know he is very weak.
