Omega 3
Hi Friends,
Has anyone used a supplement of Omega 3 fish oil? I read that it is helpful for cardiac patients but since it reduces platelet aggregation and increases bleeding time it seems that it would NOT be good for someone with low platelets. Any thoughts? Wendy/mom to Grant dx 12/4/98 AA |

Kaleigh was on Omega 3 flaxseed oil but then I took her off when I read your post until I can do more research. It didn't see to impact her counts. She was on it for her digestive system. However I need to learn more before I let her resume!

I have found contradicting information on omega 3's online. Some people swear by it,, and others say it hurt their platelet counts.
My friend who also has AA swears by cod liver oil. I am currently taking a stand back and watch approach to his results right now. I am personally just adding flax seeds to food I eat. It doesn't seem to hurt me. |
